About
Meladori is a website owned by myself, Georgina. I own other websites which you can view in the network section. You may most likely know me from my main website, Heartdrops.org.
Meladori is the home of my "scribbles".
During high school I had developed a terrible habit of doodling in my maths exercise book. That was where my scribble collection developed. I found myself being addicted to pencilling my page with doodles, drawings, words, and whatever came to mind.
Personally, my scribbles mean a lot to me. When unravelled, they are filled with my thoughts, happy or sad, and the emotions that I feel.
A friend of mine had mentioned how unique my scribbles were. I was never one into art, but she thought they were amazing, in the way I could make them all different, and fill up an entire page without stopping.
My scribbles are completely random - they encompass whatever I am thinking. I start them whenever I feel the need - I can finish one in ten minutes, or come back to it the next day... But I just keep going, whenever my mind can stick.
Some years ago I decided to display my work on DeviantArt.com, but I lost interest in my account at that website. While people liked my work and commented, I felt like I wanted my scribbles to head off on their own and so, after winning a domain from my friend and host Kya, Meladori.info was registered on the 30th May 2009.
It has taken so much time to catch up on the scribbles, in terms of scanning them, writing up the pages and such.
All the scribbles are on the same size maths grid paper, in the same type of book. I have become attached to it in a most peculiar way, as I have always hated maths. I have many scribbles that are simply on blank white paper or lined notebook paper, even drawn with blue or black ink, but I have never managed to achieve the same sort of "effect" with my pencil and maths paper.
"Meladori" comes from the song Meladori Magpie, by one of my favourite bands The Smashing Pumpkins.
I would especially love to thank my dear friend Vivien for helping me and motivating me to finally complete this website, for checking all my pages for me and for creating the links to each page in the archive. <3
I would also love to thank Rachel and Lilian for assisting me with checking many of the pages, Hannah for inspiring me to create a layout like this, and as always, to James, for always encouraging me no matter what.
Currently, Meladori isn't even close to being complete - I chose to open it on this day because I could no longer keep it hidden from the world. There are still many pages to be added, but they will be coming... in the near future.
